Policy in Wales
In Wales, there is support from the Government for CLH. The Welsh Government part-fund the Communities Creating Homes team, and have expressed commitment to promoting and supporting the expansion of the movement, for example:
“Support cooperative housing, community-led initiatives, and community land trusts”
“Take immediate and radical action to address the proliferation of second homes and unaffordable housing, using the planning, property and taxation systems. Actions being planned include […] measures to bring more homes into common ownership;”
