Boosting the Social Economy in Carmarthenshire
This project aims to support and develop organisations in the local economy to provide products and services that not only bring wealth into the area but also deliver real social value.
Through Cwmpas, a social business consultant will offer specialist business support to communities, new start social businesses and existing social businesses in Carmarthenshire. This will help social businesses to explore new ways of delivering products and services including entering new sectors. The support we offer focusses on routes to business growth, marketing, product and service diversification and building knowledge and capacity to access procurement opportunities and to manage subsequent contracts effectively. This support will be supplemented by specialist business support in areas such as HR, finance and tax from a framework of commissioned external consultants.
Our market development adviser will support the wider social business sector in Carmarthenshire to think about finance, growth strategies and procurement. This will take the form of online training sessions, regular face to face networking events, peer to peer development and community hackathons.
