Catalysts for community-led housing
Each group will have their own motivations for starting a CLH project and their own aspirations for what they want to achieve. Having said that, some common catalysts include:
- The cost of living crisis
- Second homes and holiday lets
- Empty homes and sites
- Poor quality landlords
- Poor condition of existing homes
- Homes not meeting household needs
