Programme Update: Digital Confidence Denbighshire

The Digital Confidence Denbighshire (DCD) programme has been extended from April to September 2026, allowing us to continue helping Denbighshire residents to gain digital skills, improve confidence, and feel more comfortable navigating the online world. 

Through DCD, our team has delivered drop-in sessions, workshops, and one-to-one support, focusing mainly on older adults but welcoming anyone who needs a helping hand. These activities help people keep up to date with the latest developments in the digital world, whilst ensuring they can use technology safely and confidently. 

Thanks to the programme, participants are now able to access emails and social media, helping them stay in touch with friends and family and feel less lonely or isolated. We have also helped people to confidently use online banking, book medical appointments, and make online purchases. 

Our kit gifting programme has enabled many individuals to access digital services and improve their prospects for employment. This initiative will continue for those aged 16 and above, although resources are limited. To ensure that support reaches those who need it most, we will carefully advertise the kit gifting opportunity. Once all available kits have been shared, this part of the programme will come to a close. 

Looking ahead, we are continuing to support the Denbighshire community with one dedicated delivery trainer. We will be offering support in the same areas as before and, whilst we will be holding fewer sessions each week, we will be spending more time at each session ensuring everyone who attends receives the support they need.
