Menter Ty’n Llan Cyfyngedig is a Community Benefit Society set up in March 2021. It's aim was to bring their long time closed local pub into community ownership through a community share offer, with the aim of reopening it as a pub as well as being a space that the whole community could use.
The Vale of Aeron, in Ystrad Aeron, Ceredigion, has been bought via a Community Benefit Society and nurtured to success by the Tafarn Cymunedol Dyffryn Aeron – a committee of people from the locality and a small army of volunteers.
Cwmbach Community Wetlands, in Rhondda Cynon Taff, brings together a gaggle of local people – from teachers to retirees and media professionals – to organise a community share offer for a tract of land that had been overlooked for many years.
Community share scheme bid to save historic hardware store and community hub: The future of a beloved hardware shop, that has been at the heart of the community in Pembrokeshire since the 1800s, has been saved by community ownership – with the great grandson of the original owner involved in the scheme.
