Unffiltered – Helping You Feel More Confident Online
Every day, people in Wales go online to stay in touch, get the latest news, or simply scroll for a bit of downtime. But the internet isn’t always straightforward, it can be confusing, overwhelming, and sometimes harmful.
Unffiltered, a Welsh Government–funded pilot delivered by Cwmpas, is here to make the online world feel a bit easier to navigate for people living in Caerphilly, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent and Merthyr Tydfil.
What you’ll learn
Unffiltered isn’t about telling anyone what to think. It’s about giving people the tools to understand:
- how apps, algorithms and AI shape what appears on our screens
- how to spot misleading or harmful online content
- when to pause and question something before clicking “share”
- how to stay safe and protect your wellbeing online
You’ll also get a look at how digital technology is changing, and what that means for all of us in the future.
What the project offers
- Friendly, interactive training sessions
- Useful tools you can use straight away
- Easy-to-follow online resources
Everyone plays a part
Anyone can be influenced by what they see online, that’s normal. But small actions make a big difference: pausing, checking the source, and noticing our own reactions can all help make the internet a more positive place for everyone.
Take our quiz and share your results to encourage others to join in and see how good they are at spotting false and harmful content.
